We understand that you have many wonderful destinations to choose from and hope you will include the Kennebunks in your itinerary. Did you know, in fact, that we are currently the top destination for Portland-based cruise ships? It's easy to understand why.

With the Kennebunks located so close to Portland, you can give your groups a real taste of quintessential Maine without making them spend their precious vacation time traveling long distances Down East. Simply drop your guests in Kennebunkport – an easy 30-minute drive from Portland or Portsmouth. We offer a wide array of activities right out of Dock Square, from walking along Ocean Avenue to President Bush's summer home to shopping and enjoying local seafood delicacies at any one of several outstanding restaurants. Or ask us about how you can join in partnership with area business to enhance your tour passengers' experience by creating special packages to other points of interest. For example, you could combine a visit to Kennebunk's Brick Store Museum, followed by shopping in charming Downtown Kennebunk and lunch at the Kennebunk Inn or Duffy's Pub. Or perhaps your group would enjoy the opportunity to go out on a lobster cruise from Cape Porpoise.

On behalf of our member businesses, we pledge to make it easy for you and your visitors to include the Kennebunks in your tour packages. Here's how:

Easy registration: Just let us know when your group is planning to visit by completing our easy registration form. The Chamber of Commerce keeps track of all upcoming tour groups and helps ensure that everything runs smoothly. We will also post your tour group's visit on our website, so that our shop and restaurant owners will be expecting your guests.

Easy drop-off: Cross Street, the side street right in front of Bandaloops in Dock Square, has been designated for your bus drivers to drop off their guests. It's an easy place for them to pull into, and it's easy for them to maneuver back onto Maine Street. Our helpful, courteous summer police force is available to direct traffic.

Easy parking: Buses are welcome to park at two locations, the Trolley Museum – just two miles away, where your bus drivers can relax in a cool shaded area at no extra charge, or at Performance Marine in Dock Square, where they can park for a small fee.

Ample rest facilities: Brand new public restrooms are centrally located right behind Alison's Restaurant, close to the shops, galleries and restaurants in Dock Square. Of course, your guests are also welcome to visit the Chamber office just over the bridge in Lower Village. Public restrooms are available.

No traffic lights: No worries about being stuck in long traffic lights. There are none in either Kennebunkport or Cape Porpoise!
