FALL INTO THE KENNEBUNKS 2015

Autumn is the perfect time to "Fall Into the Kennebunks." Sunshine is bountiful, and the views ... oh the views! Imagine the flame-colored leaves againt the blue sky and blue ocean and you'll get the idea. Fall is also a great time to check out all the events and activities we have throughout the season:

Sept. 19/20Pumpkin Patch Trolley, a fall tradition in the Kennebunks, features trips to the Pumpkin Patch, games for kids, face painting and more! Adults: $12, Children 6-16 $9.50, Children <6 $2.00,  Seniors 60+ $10.

Sept. 26: Punkinfiddle Family Festival and National Estuaries Day runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Wells Reserve. Punkinfiddle features traditional crafts, hands-on learning, lively music, old-fashioned games, fun food, farm animals, and lots of happy faces in a historic seaside setting — a family tradition for both locals and folks from away! Stuff a scarecrow, stomp your feet, paint a pumpkin, churn butter, quiz a fiddle maker, create a craft, walk the beach, and leave smiling.

Sept. 19:  Arundel Historical Society Heritage Day is a event for the whole family, celebrating rural history and traditions. Crafts,demonstrations, exhibitors,food and music. Hayrides,blacksmithing,quill pen writing,spinning, weaving are some of the demos. Farm animals.old engines, and food products on display. "Reminisce Tent" for historical pictures and writings of Arundel's history. Free.         

 
Oct. 3: The Seashore Trolley Museum's Pumpkinhead-fest from 12 to 5 p.m. will include games and contests include pumpkin tossing, Hansel & Gretel Costume contest,  Pumpkinhead Costume Contest, yodelling contest,  raffles and more! Live music by October Road's full band. Produced in partnership with Shipyard Brewing Company. (**regular admission rates apply to visitors who do not enter the event area.)  Seashore Trolley Museum, 195 Log Cabin Road, Kennebunkport.
 
Oct. 3: The Arundel Historical Society will hold its Annual Crafts Fair from 8:30 AM - 2:30 PM at ML Day School, Arundel. Fair will include jewelry, wood products, stained glass, knitting and weaving, children's toys, and various other crafts. Get ahead on your Christmas shopping with beautiful handmade gifts. Food and drinks will be available as well as historical displays and raffles. 
 
Oct. 10: The 12th annual Coastal Kitchen Tour will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 10. Visit kitchens in some of the loveliest homes in Kennebunk and Kennebunkport. Tickets are $25 for Center members and $35 for the general public; all proceeds benefit the Senior Center at Lower Village. Tickets are available at the Center, 175 Port Road, Kennebunk, or by phone, (207) 967-8514.
 
Oct. 10: The Kennebunkport Conservation Trust will hold its second annual Trust Trail Fest. you pick your distance, the races and celebration are held right at the Trust, family and friends can come cheer you on, kids games, bands, food and brew along with great awards and raffles make it a wonderful way to support Trust in Education.
 
Oct. 10: Transit Day at Seashore Trolley Museum will be held from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the Seashore Trolley Museum in Kennebunkport. Enjoy the scope of the world's largest public transit museum. Buses, subway cars, trackless trolleys as well as streetcars run on this very special day! Regular admission rates: $10 age 16-59, $8 age 60+, kids 6-16 $7.50; kids < 6 free.
 
Oct. 11: Maine Swap Meet, a classic car corral & automotive flea market, will be held from 7 to 11 a.m. at Motorland in Arundel. Free admission, flea market vendor spaces $10. (207) 710-6699. 2564 Portland Road, Arundel.
 
Oct. 18: The Tides Beach Club Classics with Chef John Shaw at Tides Beach Club will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Send off the summer season with small plates and beloved TBC drinks. Demo class with food and beverage pairings. $45 per person. Cap off your afternoon class on Sunday October 18 with a prix-fixe meal at 6:30 PM. Join Chef Shaw again as he prepares house favorites with Tides' signature style and new twists. $45 per person. Oct. 25: Progressive Dinner via Trolley from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. Hop aboard the InTown Trolley for a moveable feast with stops and courses at various area restaurants, starting & ending at 95 Ocean at The Nonantum Resort. $95. 

Oct. 30: Nonantum Phantom Halloween Bash from 8 to 11:30 p.m. The historic (haunted?) resort hosts the second annual Nonantum Phantom Halloween Bash. Live entertainment, hors d'ouevres, spirits (21+). Overnight Packages available.?

Nov. 7: Beaujolais Days with Chef Pierre Gignac at The Cape Arundel Inn from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Visit Ocean Restaurant at The Cape Arundel Inn for coursed lunch with full wine pairings and take-home gift bags. $55. Optional add-on: Beaujolais-themed dinner at Ocean to follow that evening on 11/7/15.

Nov. 7: Canapes, Carafes, and Colors – Five Countries in One Afternoon. The Seashore Trolley Museum teams up with Maine-ly Drizzle, Party Plus Tent & Event Rentals, Blooms & Heirlooms, and Somelier Bill Foster to take you on a food, beverage, and tablescape tour around the world! 2 to 4:30 p.m.  Five countries inspire 5 appetizers paired with 5 beverages, 5 table presentations, and 5 floral arrangements.  Demonstrations, followed by sipping and sampling on antique streetcars from Sidney, Australia;  Rome, Italy; Glasgow, Scotland; Montreal, Quebec; and San Francisco.  (Guests take home recipes and instructions.) $50.  Purchase tickets online or call (207)967-2800 ext 101.
