Our home, “The Anchorage”, is located on Gooch's Beach, 50 feet from high tide and is one of 3 beaches at Kennebunk Beach. Gooch's Beach is a very safe, sandy non-commercial, mile long beach with 2 lifeguard stations.
Our home has 6 bedrooms, 4-1/2 baths, 3 sun porches, dining room, living room, kitchen and butler's pantry.
Five bedrooms along with 2 full baths are located on the 2nd floor. One of the bathrooms on the second floor has recently been remodeled and has an attractive tile walk-in shower.
Two of the upstairs bedrooms have full size beds, one is a queen size bed and the other 2 bedrooms are furnished with 2 twin beds in each room.
The 6th bedroom (twin bedded) with private bath is located on the 1st floor next to the kitchen and was formerly referred to as the maid’s room, ideal for family members or guests who have difficulty climbing stairs.
Our home is on a double corner lot and has 2 picnic tables, lawn furniture and a Weber Gas Grill. The Carriage House behind the home has an extra bathroom with hot shower, (the 4th bathroom), and changing room mfor the beach, along with clothes washer and dryer and an extra refrigerator.
We provide cable TV with DVD. The fully equipped kitchen has a dishwasher, microwave, toaster and coffee maker.
We do not furnish sheets, pillowcases or personal towels. We do, however, furnish the kitchen towels and cloths.
Our home is nonsmoking and “no pets” out of concern for guests with allergies.
The price is $4,500 per week, in addition to a 7% Maine Sales Tax, ($315.00) and a $1,000 security deposit (refundable within 48 hours less the cleaning fee on your day of departure).
We lease Saturday to Saturday (check in after 4:00 pm, and check out before 11:00 a.m.).
If you decide to reserve a week, we will mail you a lease and we require 1/2 of the rental fee $2,250.00 when the lease is returned within 2 weeks of receipt. The remaining balance, $2,250.00, plus the 7% Maine Sales Tax $315.00, plus the security deposit of $1,000.00 is due 10 days prior to your arrival.
The $1,000.00 security deposit will be returned within 48 hours of your departure. A cleaning fee will be deducted from the security deposit. Our cleaning crew charges by the hour, so the cleaner you leave our home on your departure the less it will cost to restore it to “tenant ready” condition. Cleaning fees have usually run between $75.00 to $125.00.
