DESTINATION GALLERIES is a gallery alliance formed by artists Carol Santora & Mimi Gregoire Carpenter. Both artists have gallery destinations outside of Kennebunkport.
MIMI GREGOIRE CARPENTER STUDIO & GALLERY:

Painting them as portraits, MIMI Gregoire Carpenter paints the smallest of creatures at the edge of the shore - from crabs and sea urchins to mussels and razor clams. Throughout the year she beachcombs at nearby Goose Rocks Beach. She is the author/illustrator of the classic book ‘What The Sea Left Behind’ and is presently working on a project with the Nonantum Resort and UNE Marine Rescue, on a children’s picture book about Henry, a baby harbor seal, and the seashells, and seaglass along the local shores. She has been is featured in several books and magazines including, “Women and the Sea - Hearing the Siren’s Song” by Claire Murray.

Animals are CAROL'S muse and the inspiration for her work. From the exotic, faraway, wildest of jungle cats, locally to the soulful-eyed bovines, horses, and other farm animals, back home to her beloved pet dogs, Carol Santora, PSA, captures the spirit of animals in pastel. Internationally collected, Santora is a highly respected and award-winning artist who’s traveled extensively studying animals in the wild and in protected environments. A Signature Member of the Pastel Society of America, she has published two art catalogs: “The Color of Cows,” which shares her artistic voice and vision of cows, and “Horses of a Different Color,” that celebrates horses in an explosion of color.
