How to get on the App
Chamber Members: HOW TO BE ON THE APP
To set up your App Listing, the following information about your business needs to be entered.
Steps
1. Login to this address: http://www.experiencethekennebunks.com/login/
2. Enter user name: (email the chamber for username)
3. Enter password: (email the chamber for password)
4. Fill in the form that comes up using the instructions below and complete the form in one session. If you do not, only partial data will appear on your listing and you will need to email the Chamber if further changes or ask that your ID and Password be sent to you.
Information you will need PRIOR to logging on
Edit Venue = choose your primary service
Main Category

Arts/Culture/History
Attractions
Dining
Lodging
Services
Shopping
Subcategory - = several categories are available - choose your secondary service(s)
Venue name - = use your business name that is most recognized (DBA, etc.)
(Business name)
Description - = up to 400 characters to describe your organization's services, hours, etc.
Write out the description of your organization prior to typing (400 characters roughly equals 75 words). Any words you use to describe your businesses in this description are used in the search function. It may be helpful to use Microsoft Word or another word processor to automatically count the characters in your description to get an idea of your character count before you start to enter data, then cut and paste this information into the description.
Street Address - = your actual street address, not a post office box or alternative mailing address. Where do you deliver services from? This enables the automatic geo-locator in the Mobile App to show your place of business.
Street Address 2 - = 2nd line of your street address (if applicable)
Town - = Kennebunk
Zip Code - = 04043
Phone number - = contact number for your business
Website URL = business website address
If you do not have a URL or website address that is OK, you can enter your facebook fan page URL or any other web presence you may have, or simply leave it blank. If you do not enter anything under the website field, that field will not appear in the application. - = required fields
Hey, if you are a Chamber Member, we want you to know…we have started to assign each member with an App Listing a User ID and Password that can be used to update their own listing.
Once you have your User ID and Password, you will have the ability to:
1. Add ONE 200 L pixels x 600 W pixels .JPG Photo that will be displayed when someone selects your business's button. If you know how to do it, you can split the Banner Photo in half or thirds and have two or more photos in the Banner. We do not offer support for doing that.
NOTE: Remember, your photo must be a Banner Photo and must be in the ratio of pixels, 600 wide x 200 tall and be in a .jpg format.
1. Add two additional pages of information designed for your Category
2. Add a YouTube Video URL
3. Add a Twitter Name
4. Add a Facebook URL
5. Update all other information you have on your listing.
CHAMBER ONLY FEATURE
We will also now offer our members a chance to increase their positioning within each sub-category on the App. Each Sub-Category has the ability to have three (3) and only three "Featured" listings which will end up at the top of the page whenever your particular sub-category page opens.
The cost for having a "Featured Listing" is:
Lodging and Dining - $500/year
All other businesses - $300/year
Here's what you will get with a "Featured Listing":
1. You will have the ability to do everything that all Chamber Member can do on their listing.
2. You will be able to add the 200 x 600 Banner Photo like any member.
3. You will also get a reduced size Banner photo ON YOUR BUSINESS BUTTON. It uses the same banner photo you use for your Button.
4. You will always be positioned as Number 1, 2 or 3 at the top of the page when your sub-category is selected.
Since there are only three for each category, we are now taking reservations for featured listings. Just call the office (207-967-0857), to make a reservation. This is on a first come, first served basis.
Although you cannot add additional images to the App, you can still add a menu or coupon using text. You can then use the text features to enhance your text so it looks just the way you want others to see it.
