The Kennebunks is by far one of the most prosperous and thriving regions in Maine. We're proof! The Chamber of Commerce currently has more than 430 members! We are an exceptionally active and diverse organization, offering a wide range of programs, activities and services to help promote member businesses. Our year-round Chamber office, staffed by full-time professionals, is located in the "Yellow House" in Lower Village, where members and visitors are welcome to stop in during regular business hours. (While at our office, you can park in our back lot at no cost.)
Why join the Chamber?
Networking and camaraderie: Every month, we sponsor a "Business after Hours" networking event, open to all area business people. If you are thinking of joining the Chamber, this is a great way to get acquainted with our membership. For just $10 ($5 for members), you'll enjoy conversation over appetizers and beverages (2 drink coupons are included in the cost) within the relaxed atmosphere of our sponsor's venue. Don't forget to bring lots of business cards to share!
New interactive member-driven website: You may have noticed our terrific new website. In addition to a brand new look and feel, we can now allow members to easily update their listings. With your own password and user ID, you can be in complete control of your presence on our site. You can also include more information; provide an entire page if you'd like – it's just like having your own website within our website. We are also promoting the website as the complete source for finding out about virtually anything happening in the Kennebunks. Chamber Advantage Program: As a member, you can choose to participate in this outstanding program, which promotes our key mottos, "Shop Locally" and "See a Member First." This discount benefit program for area business owners gives you the opportunity to offer your local area customers a discount or special promotion for patronizing your business.
Promotional support: One of our primary goals is to provide no-cost avenues for you to market your business.
· List your business, along with a description and link to your website, on our website.
· Include a business listing in 70,000 copies of our Visit the Kennebunks magazine, which is published once a year and distributed to tourist-related businesses across the country.
· Make business cards available in our card exchange display at the Chamber office.
· Publicize an event or special promotion in our monthly online email.
· Promote your business at trade shows that the Chamber attends each season. (A small fee is charge to have your literature distributed.)

Literature fulfillment: We handle thousands of inquiries from people around the world considering visiting or relocating to the area. Ask us how you can be included in our fulfillment literature package – a complimentary service available only to Chamber member businesses.
Regional and national presence: We are affiliated with several regional tourist associations, including Maine Beaches and the American Bus Association. We attend conferences each year and advertise in a wide range of association publications to promote the benefits of bringing tour groups and visitors to our area.
Sponsorship opportunities: As a member, you may become a sponsor of any Chamber-run event, including our annual Wedding Show, golf tournament, online auction and Business-to-Business Expo. A variety of sponsorships are available to fit any budget. As a sponsor, your business name and participation will be included in our e-newsletter, publicized in the Kennebunk Post and promoted through a variety of avenues at the event.
Advocacy: We are an organized voice speaking on behalf of area business. In this role, we actively participate in national, state and local issues that impact our member business, as well as take a leadership role in shaping public policy to strengthen the region's economic climate and ensure that it is "business friendly."
Credibility and referrals: By identifying yourself as a member of the Chamber – the community's leading business support organization – you'll reach more customers and have greater opportunities to grow your business. Your Chamber decal tells your customers that you support progress, prosperity and the high quality of life in the Kennebunks.
Business resources: The Chamber is your comprehensive source for public references, lists of major employers, local and area phone directories, lists of clubs and organization, area maps and lists of local area businesses and public lands, as well as local, state and national legislative contacts.
